This past weekend, we had a birthday party in our house. Our youngest has always had a special place in her heart for teddy bears and stuffed animals. If she was ever given the opportunity to choose a present or a treat, she would choose a stuffy. And so, when her birthday rolled around this year, I suggested that we celebrate her love of miniature soft animals with a teddy bear party, complete with a teddy bear doctor.
One of the stations at the party was the teddy bear doctor. We all know that, like children, bears get the occasional bump or scrape. Thankfully, we had Dr. Suburble on hand to fix every bear’s ailment.

- Darice Red Checked Tablecloth
- Prescription (of jellybeans in bead storage containers)
- Various Doctor’s Gear (of stethoscopes and faux reflex testers)
I whipped up a little prescription pad that would be filled out for every visit. It’s available as a printable for all of you planning a future teddy bear party. Click here to download!
After receiving a diagnosis, the bears were sent on their way with their medicine (jelly beans in bead storage containers). They were a hit!
He consulted each patient and its owner during the visit.
Each bear was treated successfully, and left in good spirits and better health so they could enjoy the rest of the teddy bear party. The teddy bear doctor’s station was a big hit not only with the kidlets, but I think that Dr. Suburble had a pretty good time, too.
Don’t miss tomorrow’s post where I show you the DIY goody bag decorating station from the party!
