Happy spring! I Can’t believe it’s almost Easter. It comes early this year, and goodness I have a lot to do! While I prep for one of my favorite holidays, here’s a peek at the fun party I am throwing for family. I thought I would try something new this year, and instead of a typical pastel pallet, I would keep it simple and sparkly! I made DIY Easter decorations in gold, white, and a few hints of silver. I love how it turned out!
- Darice Easter Egg Embossing Folder.
- Embossing Machine.
- Core’dinations White Cardstock .
- Tim Holtz Metallic Gold Cardstock.
- David Tutera Paper Straws.
- Darice Craft Scissors.
Begin your DIY Easter decorations by first using your white cardstock, cut cupcake liners and emboss them with the Easter embossing folder. You can hand cut your cupcake liners, or use an electronic die-cut machine.
For the gift sack, I cut a 2″ x 3.5″ inch piece of gold cardstock and embossed it with the same embossing folder.
Cut a pennant shape on the end, and repeat with your white cardstock. Then adhere your pennants to your treat sack with adhesive or staples.
I had so much fun embossing my DIY Easter decorations, I decided to make a banner too! I just used the same white and gold cardstock with the embossing folder, then wrote the word Easter with some alphabet stickers I already had on hand.
That’s it, these DIY Easter decorations only took me an hour or two to put together, and I just love how it turned out.
This party is definitely a lot more glamorous than Easter parties I have thrown in the past! I think my kids are going to love it, and will definitely want to wear their Easter best!
This gold Easter bunny banner would also be cute to add into the mix with your new Easter party decorations. Happy Spring everyone!
