Hello ladies! Valentines is right around the corner and we love Valentines right?!? One tradition I have decided to start this year with my girls is a Galentine’s Day brunch. I love the way my Galentine’s Day decor turned out- learn how to create your own sweet set up!
Galentine’s Day started back in 2010 from the television show Parks and Rec. Parks and Rec is one of my FAVORITE shows, and every year they had a Galentine’s Day episode that I looked forward to. Since then, Galentine’s Day has BLOWN UP and everyone is celebrating it. It’s a “holiday” that should be celebrated with our gal pals. With help from Darice, I was able to get all my supplies (except the champagne glasses and heart plates) from their site.
So let’s get started!
Galentine’s Day party decor supplies:
- Foil Love Balloon
- Darice Paper Rosettes Kit
- Black Darice Cardstock
- Smooth Gold Glitter Darice Cardstock
- Darice Variegated Pink Flower Mat
- Rose Bundle
- Mercury Glass Mason Jar
- Darice Glitter Gold Heart Picks
- Pink Paper Straws
- Pink Paper Darice Doilies
- Gold Heart Confetti
You can celebrate Galentine’s Day anyway you want, may it be a beach day, girls night, or wine tasting. But I’m going with the classic Galentine’s Day theme. Brunch of course!! Galentine’s Day was started over waffles and girl time.
I wanted to create the perfect table setting for my girls when they come over. I plan on having Galentine’s Day February 13th at my house after I drop the kids off at school. You can set everything up the night before, so all you have to worry about is making your waffles the morning of. Better yet, you can even make it a potluck and everyone can bring a special dish.
Flowers are a must for a perfect Galentine’s Day table centerpiece. The more flowers the better I say! I don’t know which is my favorite the flowers in the mason jars or the flower mats, combined they make the best centerpiece for this table.
To create the perfect backdrop, I pulled out my “handy dandy” Silhouette cutting machine and used black cardstock to create my letters. Just add some glue dots to the back to keep them in place on the wall. Then these large rosettes fill in all the extra spaces beautifully.
I can’t even tell you how much I love the giant LOVE balloon on the wall! It’s that perfect finishing touch that makes that backdrop. Again I added some glue dots to the back to keep in place on the wall.
Now it’s time to setup our place setting. Over the years I’ve found that scrapbook paper makes the best placemats. I found the glitter cardstock, and I knew I had to use it as my place mats. I paired it with a heart plate that I already had on hand.
For my champagne glasses all I had were Thanksgiving “give thanks” on hand. So I decide to make it work and disguise them with some pink and red dollies to give a cute valentine’s feel. I paired with a simple paper straw and heart pick.
Since this is a brunch you can serve mimosa’s or keep it simple with just orange juice. But if you decide to serve mimosa’s you can vamp up your champagne bottle with some glitter! All you need to do is cover the bottle with clear glue and pour glitter on top. Takes about an hour to dry, and totally worth the time spent for a festive look on the table.
Remember it’s the little extra touches that make the table feel special.
I really hope this Galentine’s table inspires you to create one of your own. I wanted to show how easy it is to setup a table like this and create a special day for you and your friends. Galentine’s Day is all about celebrating female friendships. I plan on starting the tradition this year and keep it up.
As always thanks for stopping by and have a great Galentine’s!
