I love DIY wedding decor. There are so many ways you can add personal and custom touches to a wedding when you do it yourself. A wedding card box is a simple place to add some personalized touches to your big day. There are so many different ways you can dress up a simple white card box. Here are two different ways to customize a card box – with flowers, or with sparkle.
Floral Wedding Card Box Supplies
Start by gluing the ribbon around the box. Cut the ribbon to length, and then glue each side to the bottom of the box with hot glue.
Make a simple bow by looping a piece of ribbon on itself several times.
Tie a second piece of ribbon around the middle with a single knot, and pull tight.
Cut V-shaped notches into the ends of the ribbon, and adjust the pieces until you are satisfied with the look of the bow.
Use hot glue to glue the ribbon to the side of the wedding card box.
While the glue is still hot, tuck in the pieces of baby’s breath. Cut the stems shorter as needed. Add more glue to keep them secure, if you need to.
Pull three roses off of the stems. Add more glue to the center of the ribbon, and hold the three roses in place until the glue sets.
In less than 20 minutes, you’ve added lots of color and style to a plain wedding card box! You can customize the ribbon colors and flowers used to your own wedding colors and floral choices.
If your wedding is more about sparkles than flowers, you can customize your card box in a completely different way.
Sparkle Wedding Card Box Supplies:
With a pencil, very lightly outline the design you’d like to create with the crystals.
Using the various sized crystals, glue each crystal in place to fill the sketched-out area.
Once you are finished, leave the box on its side to allow the glue to dry overnight. Your sparkly wedding card box is complete!
These are just two examples of ways to decorate a wedding card box. There are many other options – you could use photos, the bride and groom’s monogram, the wedding invitation, or a symbol or image that is significant to the bride and groom. Every part of the wedding is special, and deserves a DIY touch – from the gift table, to the alter, to the reception, you can thing of fun ways to personalize every part of your wedding.

There are few crafts she hasn’t tried her hand at, and is always excited to play with new tools and techniques. Carolina loves coming up with original ideas, and then letting her hands create what her mind comes up with… and is always thrilled when the real thing looks better than she’s imagined!
