Hiya, crafty friends! I can’t believe it, my oldest is graduating from high school this year. Gah! So crazy. I am so sad, but so very happy for her at the same time. Even though I am fighting the fact she is growing up, I am really excited for an excuse to celebrate her accomplishments. She has worked so hard! We are throwing a big family party, and I am excited to share a peek at some of the party progress. We are going to host a big dinner at our home, and in one little corner of our kitchen I made a really fun graduation DIY cap backdrop. It is super inexpensive to make, and only takes a few minutes!
Graduation DIY Party Backdrop Supplies:
To get started, unroll your black crepe paper sheet and start drawing a graduation cap using your ruler and chalk marker.
After drawing your cap, fix any lines that feel uneven.
The fun thing about crepe paper versus regular butcher paper, is it has such lovely texture to it. Crepe paper sheets are large enough for big scale projects too.
This project turned out so cute, my other kids are now asking if they get graduation parties for the end of the school year as well. Ha! I guess I better come up with more ideas!
