Happy Monday! We’re super excited to have Kate from Scissors, Spatulas, and Sneakers, here to share this adorable themed Mickey Mouse birthday party! Make sure to stop by her blog to check out more fabulous paper crafts! Now here’s Kate with the how-to.
Do you know what you can do with three sheets of black Core’dinations Cardstock, one sheet of red Core’dinations cardstock, one-half sheet of yellow Core’dinations Cardstock and a couple of pieces of 110lb Cardstock? Decorate for a themed Mickey Mouse birthday party!
I had one hour to design and decorate for my Grandson’s first birthday party. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? I did it! It was one of those times where I just knew that I had the perfect colors of Core’dinations Cardstock to complete the task of creating a fun Mickey Mouse birthday party.
Mickey Mouse birthday decor supplies:
- Darice Cardstock
- Mickey Mouse studio cut file by Creativity = Sanity
- American Crafts alphabet Thickers
- Red and white baker’s twine
- 3/8″ dowel rods
- Tape runner
- 1/16″ hole punch
First, I made a sign for our front door welcoming our party guests.
Note: All of the Mickeys were cut out of Core’dinations Cardstock using my Silhoutte and his red pants were made just by cutting circles in half.
Using the Mickey Mouse cutouts and baker’s twine, I made Mickey Mouse birthday streamers for the lights over the dining table. Punch two holes in each Mickey Mouse cutout (except for the bottom cutouts) and knot baker’s twine on each end. The baker’s twine length will vary depending on how long you want the streamers to be.
Here’s a view of the tablescape…
I just love the way it all turned out!
Super easy! Super cute! I hope this has inspired you to create your own Mickey Mouse birthday party decorations!
