Halloween will be here before we know it! I love decorating for Halloween but I’m not much into the scary side of things for the holiday. I love incorporating the orange, purple, and black color combo into cute Halloween decor. Today I’m going to share with you how simple this DIY Halloween BOO paper wreath is to make.
DIY Halloween Paper Wreath Supplies:
- Patterned Paper (I used assorted designs in black, orange & purple).
- 12 inch STYROFOAM Wreath Form.
- Coordinating Darice Ribbon.
- Foam Safe Hot Glue Gun.
- Darice Paper Trimmer.
- Digital Die Cutting Machine.
- Scissors.
Step 1. Trim your paper into 1″ x 12″ strips.
Step 2. Trim your 1″ x 12″ strips into two pieces, 1″ x 6″ strips.
Step 3. Put a small amount of hot glue on one end of your 1″ x 6″ strip.
Step 4. Fold the strip so the ends come together adhering with the glue, creating a loop.
Step 5. Once all your loops are made, you can start gluing them to the wreath form. I staggered mine a little bit, using four in each row.
Step 6. Continue around the wreath until it is completely covered with the paper loops.
Step 7. Cut out BOO letters. I used an electronic cutting machine but you can also use stencils and an X-Acto knife. Use hot glue to attach them to ribbon.
Step 8. Hot glue the BOO ribbon to the back of the wreath.
Step 9. Hot glue ribbon to the top of your paper wreath to create the wreath hanger.
Now you are ready to hang your paper wreath on your front door or use it in the home as part of your Halloween holiday decor.
