Our family has grown quite a bit. When we gather for Thanksgiving, we have quite the crowd! When I ran across this idea for combined DIY Thanksgiving Place Cards AND pre-dinner snack holders- I liked it a lot! And the added bonus was that when I did a trial run, I found that they were super easy to mass produce! Especially with the added convenience of a cute Darice Feltie turkey sticker.
Are you in love too? I think they will make a perfect finish to my Thanksgiving table.

- Candy of Your Choice to Fill the Treat Bags.
To begin your DIY Thanksgiving place cards, use a circle template that will almost fill the entire 12 x 12″ cardstock. I used a large lid to trace and cut a circle from the kraft cardstock.
Fold the circle in half, and then in half again- to create four equal pieces.
Using a paper trimmer or scissors, cut the circle at the folded lines.
Using a basket weave patterned embossing folder, insert each cut piece into the folder. The entire piece will not fit. Position the cut cardstock piece as shown. The strip of paper that is not embossed will be at the bottom of the finished cornucopia and will not show.
Remove cardstock from the embossing folder and place a line of strong adhesive down the edge of the un-embossed strip. I used strong double sided tape. You can also use hot glue, or other durable adhesive.
Fold the shape over onto itself to create a cone.
Begin at the top of the cone, and work down to the tip. The tip of the cone might be a little funny looking- that is okay. It is not going to show.
Lay the cone shape with the seam down, and using a pencil, roll the tip of the cone about a third of the way up the cone. This will create the classic cornucopia shape on your DIY Thanksgiving place cards.
Fill your cone shaped treat bags with the candy of your choice.
Tie the top of the treat bags with ribbon.
Write each guest’s name with a Sharpie marker on some decorative tape. I used glitter tape. Make sure you leave enough extra tape to be able to fold it over onto a tooth pick.
Wrap the adhesive tape around the tooth pick to create a flag. Trim the ends of the tape.
Insert the opposite end of the tooth pick in between two layers of the feltie turkey sticker.
Adhere the turkey sticker to the cornucopia and there you have your DIY Thanksgiving place cards.
Repeat for as many guests as you have! A quick and easy way to dress up your holiday table! If you’re looking for other DIY Thanksgiving place cards? Check out these elegant leaf place cards that double as treat bag toppers.
