Hi ya, crafty peeps! I have a fun tutorial for you today! Making handmade cards is one of my favorite things to do. I thought it would be fun to make some DIY cards that show off the fun adult coloring trend you see everywhere right now. It’s such a great way to make easy cards that are personalized. The colors and patterns you use are limitless! You can even gift the card colorless, and let your friend do all the coloring!
Coloring DIY Cards Project Supplies:
- Darice Embossing Folder
- Darice White Cardstock
- Darice Black Cardstock
- Embossing Machine
- Darice Adhesive Tape Runner
- Darice Ribbon
- Colored Pencils
- Darice Scissors
- Darice Black Ink Pad
Insert the cardstock into the embossing folder, and run it through your embossing machine.
After embossing your image, use your black ink pad to ink the raised portion of the paper. Lightly pass the ink pad back and forth, being careful not to apply too much pressure. It’s really fun to see the design appear this way!
You can keep your design really simple, or color in the whole thing! It would also be fun to gift blank and let the recipient color in the card.
I colored in the whole card, and used a fun metallic gold marker for the background.
After coloring your card, mount it on black and white cardstock, then add a few embellishments.
