I recently got a Sock Friends Pet Mega Pack, and I had a lot of fun making a how-to video for putting the dog Sock Friend puppet together. Watch this and tell me it doesn’t make you want to make a sock puppet right now!
The video is quick and fun, but if you aren’t the video-watching type, here are the sock puppet instructions in written form.
- Darice Sock Friends Puppets Pets Mega Pack (Includes poodle, sheep dog, and cat puppet kits)
- Piece of Cardboard
The kit comes with the items shown here, as well as some yarn.
Step three. Remove the yarn from the cardboard, keeping the yarn bundled together as you wound it. Cut a piece of yarn to tie around the center of the yarn bundle. Tie a square knot tightly to secure the bundle together, then trim the looped ends of the bundle.
Repeat to make a total of three bundles of yarn. Set bundles aside with supplies.
Step five. Turn puppet over, and stick the black pom pom on to the end of the puppet to make the nose. Stick one of the yarn bundles on above the nose.
Step eight. Stick the tail on with a glue tab.
