Kid’s Craft Stick Strawberries

Hi friends! It’s Stacey again and today I’m sharing a fun kid friendly tutorial for craft stick strawberries, which are simply “SWEET” to make ANY day of the year! And I just have to say, like I always do, that this strawberry craft is really SIMPLE and inexpensive too. Isn’t that what every parent loves to hear when it comes to craft time?!

Kids-Strawberry-Craft-Darice-1My little boy had fun creating these red and green themed pieces and I’m sure older kids will too. Plus they double as awesome decor. Just attach string to the back for easy hanging on doors, windows and walls. Easy peasy – so get right on it! Find the full tutorial below! Happy crafting, my friends!!

Kid’s Strawberry Craft Supplies:

  • Darice Jumbo Wood Craft Sticks
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Red/Green Cardstock
  • Darice Kid’s Craft Scissors
  • Darice Felties Felt Glue
  • Black Marker

Kids-Strawberry-Craft-Darice-2Step 1. First grab three craft sticks {three per strawberry} and glue them together to look like a triangle. Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each strawberry craft you want to make.

Kids-Strawberry-Craft-Darice-3Step 2.  While that is drying, grab your red cardstock paper and cut a triangle that will fit inside the craft stick design. At this time, you should cut out the leaves for the top of the strawberry from the green cardstock.

Step 3. Once the craft stick shapes are secure and completely dried, go ahead and have children paint their pieces completely red.

To finish off this strawberry craft, have children glue their paper pieces in place on the craft stick shape and top off with any other embellishments they see fit. Add black dots with a marker on the cardstock piece to represent the strawberry seeds. Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
