Hi my crafty friends! It’s Stacey slithering by with yet another way to turn ordinary wood craft sticks into one-of-a-kind friends! Today we are going to be making a sparkly snake craft and I hope you are inspired to make them too!
Whatever you decide to do with your finished creations, I hope you enjoy making them with your child today. Now let’s grab those craft supplies and get to work on this fun & simple DIY idea! Happy crafting, my friends!!!
Kids Snake Craft Supplies:
- Darice Jumbo Colored Craft Sticks
- Darice Kid’s Craft Scissors
- Red Cardstock
- Darice Felties Felt Glue
- Darice Small Adhesive Wiggle Eyes
Step 1. One craft stick will make one snake. First have children decorate their craft sticks with the glue and sequins. Remember- snakes come in all colors so let your child go wild on this one! You can also use glitter, buttons, rhinestones, stickers or other embellishments to decorate your snake craft.
Step 3. To finish off your snake craft, simply glue the cardstock pieces in place and add the wiggle eyes so they can see. Then add other embellishments you see fit. To display, you can add magnets to the back or hot glue some string for easy hanging!
Kids will love expressing themselves with their uniquely designed snake crafts. This craft would go along well with a science lesson on snakes for older children!
