Hi friends! Did you know that you could make nearly anything {and I mean ANYTHING} out of some ordinary popsicle sticks??? Yup – and I’m here to vouch for that statement by sharing today’s simple handprint popsicle stick pineapple craft with you all today! This tutorial is perfect for a summer kid’s craft.
Let’s grab those craft supplies & get straight to the fun by diving into this EASY tutorial. I just hope my post inspires and sparks tons of “fruity” craft time with you & your child today! Happy crafting my friends!
Popsicle Stick Pineapple Craft Supplies:
- Darice Jumbo Wood Craft Sticks
- Washable Tempera Paint
- Darice Kid Craft Scissors
- Darice Felties Felt Glue
- Darice Felt Sheets – {We used a shade of green}
- Marker
Step 1. First glue your wooden craft sticks together to look like a fence {seven next to each other and two across the back}. Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each pineapple craft you want to make.
Step 2. Now you are ready to give your pineapple some color. Simply have children paint the front of their popsicle stick fence completely yellow, followed with some small brown dots all over to give the pineapple craft some texture. Once done, set it aside to let it dry completely.
Step 3. Next grab your green felt sheet and marker. Carefully trace your child’s hand on the felt with the marker, followed by trimming it out with scissors. We did one handprint but you are more than welcome to do more and/or change up the color if desired!
Step 4. To finish off the pineapple craft, have children glue their handprint felt to the back of the popsicle stick piece. Then have them add other embellishments {like rhinestones or glitter} to give it some festive flair. Then display proudly!!!
