DIY Superhero Clothespin Craft Supplies:
- Darice Mini Flat Clothespins.
- Washable Tempera Paint.
- Darice Paint Brush Set.
- Darice Kid’s Craft Scissors.
- Darice Felties Felt Glue.
- Darice Felties Felt Scapes.
- Black Marker.
Step 1. First you will want to paint your flat clothespins to give them the look of a superhero. Simply paint on a mask and some matching “manly” tights. Repeat for each clothespin superhero you want to make. Set aside to let them dry completely. At this point in time, using a black marker, you should also draw on some eyes, mouth and a big “S” in the chest of the superhero to give him life.
Step 2. Next is the superhero’s cape. Grab your felt scraps and cut out a trapezoid shape to be placed on the back of your piece. Repeat for each piece you are making.
Step 3. Now go ahead and glue your felt piece to the back of the decorated flat clothespin to complete your DIY superhero. Once done, set aside to let it dry completely again.
Step 4. When your pieces are dry it’s time to play! If desired – you can also add other embellishments to give them that one-of-a-kind customized look. You can easily turn these into “superwomen” by adding some felt hair, some crown embellishments or even some glitter glue for a fun look! You can also decorate the felt capes for an awesome look!
These clothespin creations would also make perfect favors or decor for a superhero themed birthday party. What kid wouldn’t love to take home one of these DIY superhero friends?
