Hand Print Flower DIY Bookmarks for Kids

Spring is right around the corner and our crafty juices are overflowing with ideas! For an inexpensive and crafty thrill this afternoon, why not create some one-of-a-kind handprint flower DIY bookmarks for kids. Make this fun craft with your child to celebrate the upcoming change in season and to create an awesome keepsake at the same time!

It’s so simple to create these flower themed DIY bookmarks for kids! All you need is some sticky sticks, craft foam and other embellishments to give them a personalized feel. Then set up shop on the kitchen table and let your child’s imagination go wild as they “grow” their own garden of bookmarks, that double as keepsakes as well. Kids will love how they can customize their flower pieces however they like, while you will love seeing their creativity BLOOM!!!

So don’t delay – grab those craft supplies with your child today! Then carve some time out of your busy afternoon to make these beautiful flowers to mark that spot in your favorite book or perhaps even gift them to some special friends! I just hope our crafty idea BLOSSOMS some creativity in you! Happy crafting my friends!

Handprint Flower DIY Bookmarks for Kids Supplies:

  • Darice Sticky Sticks Fan Handles
  • Washable Tempera Paint
  • Darice Kid Craft Scissors
  • Darice Craft Foam Sheets
  • Quick Dry Glue
  • Marker

Flower-DIY-Bookmarks-for-Kids-Darice-2Step 1. To begin these handprint flower DIY bookmarks for kids, have children paint their Sticky Sticks completely green, except for the area where the sticky adhesive tip is. Repeat for each flower bookmark you want to make. Set aside to let them dry completely.

Step 3. Now you are ready to assemble your bookmarks. Simply peel off the plastic tab on the adhesive tip and place your handprint cutout on top. Now grab your glue and glue your leaves onto the sticky stick stem. At this point in time you can also add other embellishments you see fit. Then set it all aside to let it dry completely before using as a bookmark! Remember – you can also use these as spring decorations or gift them away as a nice gesture!
