Can you believe it’s almost time to go back to school?! Whether you’re a teacher yourself or a parent looking for an easy teacher’s gift, this student birthday chart for the classroom is the perfect way to start a new school year. I went with a rainbow theme for my chart but you’re more than welcome to change the colors to match any personality or room decor!
- Darice Corrugated Cardboard Sign
- Darice Small Spring Clothespins
- Darice 1 1/2″ Wood Letters
- Darice 3/4″ Wood Letters
- Darice 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon (In various colors.)
- Various Paints
- Chalkboard Paint
- Darice Paint Brush
- Chalkboard Pen
- Darice Glue Gun
- Darice 1/2″ Hercules Tape
Step 3. Cut 18″ strips of grosgrain ribbon and layout evenly of a flat surface. Place a strip of Hercules double sided tape on the back of sign and press until all the ribbons adhere to the back. The tape is pretty strong but I added a few globs of hot glue just to double-reinforce.
How sweet would it be to welcome all your kiddos with this fun student Birthday Chart? Plus, it’ll totally help you keep track of everyone’s special day! Don’t forget that you can change the colors or corrugated cardboard sign to match the colors and decor you already have in your classroom. Hope you have a wonderful school year full of laughs, learning, and love. Best of luck!
Another way to make students’ birthdays special is to hang a DIY birthday banner on their special day!
