For some kiddos, learning the alphabet can be a serious struggle. One fun way to help enhance their learning experience is to incorporate more of their senses. By using textured or patterned papers and these printable alphabet flash cards, the typical ABC book becomes a tactile learning tool that utilizes touch and sight and can help tough concepts “stick.”
Printable Alphabet Flash Cards Project Supplies:
- DCWV Brights Card Stock Stack
- Vellum Paper
- Darice Round Hole Punch
- Double Sided Tape Roller
- Darice 2 Inch Snap Ring
- Scissors or Cricut
- Alphabet Letters Printable
To make these printable alphabet flash cards I cut out the letters from the various textured papers. You can either use THIS CUT FILE if you have a Cricut, or print out the letters, trace them onto the textured paper and cut them out with the scissors.
Put the adhesive on the back of each letter.
Press it firmly to make sure the letters stick.
Isn’t the glittery paper so fabulous?
When all of the letters have been adhered to the brights card stock, stack them in order to create one nice set of cards.
Use the hole punch to make a small hole in the top left corner of the letter A.
Place the B card underneath the A card and use the A card as a template for the next punch. This will ensure that the holes line up. Repeat this for all of the letters of the alphabet.
Place all of the printable alphabet flash cards on the ring clip to keep them in one nice spot.
Now your kiddos can trace each letter of the alphabet with their finger to enhance their learning. Bonus: there are enough sheets of card stock in the bright card stock stack to create three books!
