Scrapbook Paper DIY Wood Bangle Bracelet Supplies:
Step 1. To begin making your scrapbook paper DIY bangles, paint the inside of your wood bangle as well as the edges. Be sure to paint just slightly over the edges onto the outer surface of the bangle – this way, no unfinished wood will show at the edges of your paper. To ensure all of the surface is sufficiently covered, paint a second coat and allow the bangles to dry.
Step 2. Trim your paper to the appropriate size for your bangle. In my case, that was a 1-inch strip, 11 1/4 inches long. Coat the backside with a layer of Mod Podge and allow it to rest for a few seconds, allowing the Mod Podge to soak into the paper and soften it slightly. You will get a better seal by waiting a few moments before applying the paper.
Step 3. Wrap the paper tightly around the bangle, lining up the finished edge as closely as you can. Paint the whole bracelet with a final coat of Mod Podge and allow it to dry for at least a couple of hours before wearing it. If you discover any small bubbles in your paper when you apply it, allowing it to dry overnight will resolve this issue.
These scrapbook paper DIY bangle bracelets are so easy to make, it’s hard to stop at just one! Stack them together, or make them up to match different outfits. You can also stamp or ink your papers before applying them – whatever fits your signature crafting style! Show your love for paper in this fun, stylish, and everyday way!
