This DIY seed bead necklace can be customized with Darice’s wide selection of seed bead colors and sizes. We used size 10/0 beads for this project for a more delicate look. If you use a thicker jewelry chain for the necklace you can go with a larger seed bead to balance it out. Step 1. To begin your DIY seed bead necklace, cut a 2” section of wire. Loop one end. String on 25 silver beads. Trim end and loop.
Step 3. Cut 14 – 10 link sections of chain.
Step 4. Attach a chain section to each beaded pin. Add a jump ring to the other end of the chains.
Step 6. Attach the silver bead wire you created in step 1 to the necklace chain 3 links above the beaded pins.
Step 7. Add a jump ring and lobster clasp to the ends of the chain.
The skill level for this jewelry project is beginner to intermediate. Some prior jewelry making experience is helpful in completing this tutorial. Expect to spend around 1 hour working on this DIY seed bead necklace.
