I am SO excited that summer is almost here. I’m so looking forward to long lazy days spent at the pool, playing at the beach, and roasting s’mores with my family. I love wearing nautical jewelry and clothing during the summer, and today I’m going to share with you an easy and inexpensive way to make some cute nautical DIY bracelets!
Nautical DIY bracelets supplies:
- Darice Anchor Rhinestone Jewelry Connectors.
- Darice Ship Wheel Jewelry Charm Connectors.
- Darice Bright Silver 6mm Jump Rings.
- Darice Bright Silver Bracelets.
- Darice Pliers.
Step 1. Take the connector that you are using (the anchor or the ship’s wheel) and the bracelet and measure with them around your wrist. Decide how many links you will need to take out of the bracelet to ensure a nice fit.
Step 2. Use the jewelry pliers to twist open the links that you will be removing. It will take a little work since the bracelet charms are thick, but I was able to remove each link in less than a minute.
Step 3. Once you have removed the necessary links you will have two bracelet pieces.
Take a jump ring and open it by separating one of the ends away from the other end, as pictured below.
Step 4. Insert one end of the jump ring through a bracelet chain, and the other end through a hole on the nautical charm. Repeat with the other bracelet end, jump ring, and charm hole.
Step 5. Close the jump rings on the DIY bracelets by reversing the way that you opened them up before. Make sure that the ends are close and tight.
Now you have two stylish nautical DIY bracelets that are perfect to wear during the summer and that only cost a few dollars to make!
Happy crafting!
