A few years ago I started playing around just a bit with jewelry making when some pretty stuff went on sale at my local craft store. I stocked up on all the things I liked because they were very inexpensive and I found out quickly just how NICE it is to have jewelry making supplies on hand at any given time. Need a quick gift for mom or grandma or a little girl receiving a sacrament? You can run downstairs, pull out your jewelry making goodies, and put together a custom made gift for just about any occasion in a matter of minutes. I recently found that Darice has a GREAT line of new jewelry products that takes all the work out of making jewelry!! All you need is a chain, connector, and a toggle or clasp and some simple tools and you have a bracelet made in minutes! Today I’m going to share with you how I made this 10 minute gold DIY cross bracelet!
DIY cross bracelet supplies:
Step One. Separate off two chains and one connector. Gently open up the “O” rings at the end of one chain, using your pliers, and loop your connector on. Then close the O ring. Do the same to both sides so that the connector is in the center of two chains.
Step Two. Once both sides are connected, then you want to use your toggle chain or clasp and connect those using the O rings on the other end of the chain, as well. Darice takes the guesswork out of everything by already having the O ring on the chain right there for you!!
Your new DIY cross bracelet is now ready to gift or wear!
Darice has tons of other connector options too both in gold and silver and they are VERY affordable!! Look for them on your next craft store trip.
