- Darice Steampunk Jewelry Charms Set – Silver and Gold Large Keys
- Darice Chain Necklace – Your Choice of Style and Color
- Darice Jewelry Cord or Narrow Ribbon (Such as silk or velvet)
- Nail polish
- Darice Jump Rings and Darice Jewelry Pliers (Optional)
Step 1. Paint nail polish onto a key.
Let the nail polish dry, then paint the back of the key, if desired, or add additional nail polish colors.
If you are making more than one DIY key necklace, it’s easiest to paint them all at once before you move onto the next step. Let them dry for at least 30 minutes to ensure the nail polish is totally hardened.
Step 2. Add a chain or ribbon to turn your new key into a necklace.
Alternately, use a pretty ribbon. I used narrow silk and velvet ribbons.
