There are few things that are as welcoming as gorgeous sunflowers on the front door of a porch! I absolutely fell in love with the realistic look of these sunflowers from Darice and knew I had to make a wreath with them. I kept the majority of the wreath pretty minimal so that it wouldn’t take away from the natural beauty of the flowers but you’re more than welcome to go a bit more complicated with the design if you’d like. You’re going to love this burlap DIY sunflower wreath throughout the whole summer!
Burlap DIY Sunflower Wreath Supplies:
- 3 Artificial Darice Sunflower Stems
- Darice 18″ Wire Wreath Form
- Artificial Darice Greenery
- Darice Burlap Ribbon
- Darice Chevron Burlap Ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun
Step 1. Wrap the burlap ribbon around the green wire wreath form. Pull it nice and tight to give a finished look to the wreath.
Step 2. Continue wrapping around the wreath until the entire form is covered. Use a hot glue gun to adhere the last bit of burlap ribbon to create a loop at the bottom of the wreath.
Step 3. Trim the ends of the greenery and apply a bit of hot glue to the base. Insert into the finishing loop and press until secure. Repeat with the other greenery spray.
Step 4. Cut a 30″ strip of the blue chevron ribbon, apply a bit of hot glue to the center of the burlap loop, and quickly tie. Don’t finish the complete bow until the next step.
Step 5. Trim the sunflower stems so that they can be glued flat to the wreath. You may need to add some additional glue in the open spaces between the sunflowers and wreath to make sure they’re secure on the wreath. Once the glue has hardened completely, tie the chevron ribbon in a casual bow.
I absolutely adore all the bright summer-y colors that are in this simple but beautiful wreath. Hope you enjoy making a DIY sunflower wreath to greet all your guests this summer!

This is so pretty and easy enough for anyone to be able to make. I think I would prefer using a straw wreath form, though. Thank you for sharing!
