Hello, friends! I keep seeing this adorable over-sized wood tag trend on Pinterest. There are some really fun ideas that can be used with these large wood tags, so I thought it would be fun to show you how to make a St. Patrick’s Day DIY decor sign this year! For me, it’s such a hard holiday to decorate for, but I sure love how these turned out.
St. Patrick’s Day DIY Decor Sign Supplies:
- Large Unfinished Wood Tag
- Green Foil Tape or Your Choice of Darice Sparkle Tape
- Darice Shamrock Foam Stickers
- Core’dinations Cardstock
- Darice Adhesive Tape Runner
- Download the free SVG file HERE or PDF file HERE
To get started with your St. Patrick’s Day DIY decor, first download the free “Lucky You” file (link found above in supply list). If you don’t have an electric cutting machine, you can cut your own letters by hand, or use alphabet stickers!
After cutting your letters, use your tape runner to adhere the letters to your wood tags.
Try to give the letters an even coat of tape runner adhesive on the back.
Next, decorate your St. Patrick’s Day DIY wood tags with the glitter foam shamrock stickers. Use as many as you like!
Last step! Embellish the bottom of the tags with the foil tape. It has a lovely metallic sheen to it, I just love how it finishes the project!
The foil can be tricky to apply, so be careful not to wrinkle it, and smooth it out after you lay it down. It has such a lovely sheen to it!
That’s it! This St. Patrick’s Day DIY decor sign is so easy to make, and I love how it turned out! This would be so cute hanging in your home, or even on your front door for St. Patrick’s Day.
