15-Minute Spring “Hello” Wreath

There’s nothing quite like a big “Hello” on your door to welcome your guests and after the “blah” of winter, this spring wreath is sure to do the job! Of course, sometimes the hustle and bustle of life means that you don’t have as much time to craft as you may like. That’s why I totally love how quick and easy this 15-minute spring “Hello” word wreath is!

Hello word wreath supplies:

  • 14″ Darice Large Quilting Hoop
  • Decorative Darice Burlap Linen Ribbon
  • Lily of the Valley Garland
  • Darice Unfinished Wood “Hello”
  • Hot Glue Gun and Sticks

Unfasten the embroidery hoop and sandwich a piece of ribbon in between the two hoops. Add hot glue to the inside hoop and fold the ribbon over to secure.

Place the word face down on your work table and center the hoop over it. Use a pencil or pen to mark the ribbon placement on the back of the wood “hello.” Apply hot glue to the marked areas and affix to the burlap ribbon. Press firmly with your hands until secure.

Flip the entire wreath right side up and begin apply hot glue to the edge, working no more than 5″ at a time.

Once the glue has been applied to the hoops, quickly but carefully position the Lily of the Valley garland in place.

Continue working around the wreath, applying glue and garland, until the entire circle is covered. Don’t worry too much if the glue is visible. We’ll fix that in the next step!

Add more glue to the bare areas and pull the leaves in to cover all visible glue. Not only will this hide the glue but it’ll also create a more polished and put together word wreath.

Now that your 15-Minute Spring “Hello” Wreath is done, all you need to do is hang it on your front door or mantle to greet all your guests!

Hope you have fun using this tutorial to make your own spring hello word wreath! Darice has tons of great garland to customize this wreath tutorial to fit any style or existing decor.
