Start this farmhouse wreath DIY decor by staining your unfinished window pane. The window comes with a plastic insert. I removed it completely then brushed on the dark stain. Allow to sit a few minutes then wipe away excess with a rag. Set aside to dry.
Once your window frame is dry, you may want to make it a bit more rustic. Do that by using some white craft paint and a very dry brush. Just get a little paint on the brush and move it quickly across the surface. This technique results in a rustic appearance with very little effort.
Then allow your paint to dry completely. Once dry, you can add your wreath to the window frame. I did not even bother to add the plastic back into the frame. I just used the floral wire to attach the wreath right to the front.
