Always finding change in those pockets at laundry time? Try making this DIY laundry room decor sign to collect any “loot” you may come across! The rustic look is perfect for farmhouse decor and you can just drop in the change as you find it.
DIY Laundry Room Decor Sign Supplies:
- Darice Mason Jar Wall Decoration
- White Vinyl
- Cricut or Silhouette Cutting Machine
- Cricut Transfer Tape
- Laundry Loot Cut File
- Weeding Tools (optional)
Start your DIY laundry room decor sign by downloading the cut file to your computer and uploading it to the software you will use for your craft cutter. Cut the image from white vinyl. Remove all excess vinyl from around the words as well as the centers of any letters. Weeding tools can make this process easier but they are not required.
Apply a piece of transfer tape over the top of the weeded piece of vinyl. Press down well. Then peel back the vinyl from the backing paper. Your entire image should stick to the transfer tape as shown in the image below.
Center this on your mason jar wall decoration and then press down well. Peel back the transfer tape and make sure the vinyl stays on your sign. If it is peeling up, press down well again before trying to peel once more. Press the vinyl down well and your project is complete!
All that is left is to hang this one on your laundry room wall. The mason jar is already on the rustic board with a clamp so that part is completed for you.
Will you make a DIY laundry room decor sign for your home? How long do you think it will take you to fill that jar with loot?
I love the rustic look to this board! It actually comes like that but you could paint it if you wanted a cleaner look. Make your laundry loot sign however you would like just be sure to make one soon!
Another fun way to use this mason jar wood sign is to make a summer bucket list DIY jar!

LOL, love the sign, now if only someone would leave me a little change in their pockets, I’d be okay doing the laundry 😉
So cute, I’m afraid in our house it would just be full of tissues (kleenex) but I may get lucky with change occasionally!
Love this… super cute and practical, too! Visiting from Dream, Create, Inspire!
Ughh where was this back when the husband and kids used to leave money in their dirty laundry? Now all I
Find are receipts from debit card purchases!! Grrr… anyways just to put a creative spin on this.. I actually used a recycled Method brand laundry soap container instead of a glass jar. I’m terribly clutzy and learned my lesson about storing anything in mason jars! But that’s obviously if you’re going to actually use it if you’re lucky enough to come across any spare change while doing laundry. But I do have a similar sign that says “laundry tips appreciated” with the recycled laundry soap bottle, the method brand are square and so I just cut the top off, sanded rough edges and distressed the original label!
