I love everything about fall… especially Halloween! Decorating for Halloween is tons of fun, and today I’ve got an easy but adorable tutorial to help get you in the Halloween spirit! These DIY Halloween glitter boo sign letters make an awesome decoration for your home, and are a cinch to make. I’ve also got a great tip on how to keep the glitter on the letters instead of leaving a trail of glitter wherever they go. Your home will be ready for haunting in no time with this fun tutorial!
- Darice Paper Mache Letters B, O, and O.
- Darice Black Glitter.
- Darice Foam brush.
- Black Craft Paint.
- Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze.
Step 2. Paint a second coat of black paint onto one section of a letter. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle black glitter over the wet paint. Repeat painting, then glittering, section by section, until the entire top of each letter is covered. Let dry.
Once the letters are completely dry, spray them with a sealer to keep the glitter from falling off the boo sign and all over your home. The best one I’ve found is Krylon’s Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze. It goes on like spray paint, but dries clear and very glossy, and is nice and thick so it will hold all that glitter in place.
Aren’t these boo sign letters cute? They would look great on a mantle, on a Halloween party table, or just sitting out as a cute decoration for your home. These letters have just the right amount of sparkle, and look especially pretty when the light hits it and the glitter shines.
Add a BOO Halloween banner like this one to your decor to complete a spooky Halloween look. Happy haunting!
