The tinsel is packed, the ornaments are safely put away, and now it’s time to turn our attention to the loveliness of Valentine’s Day! Of course, nothing says “V-Day” quite like chocolates and bright pink so I thought it would be fun to mix the two of them into an easy indoor DIY Valentine wreath. Just make sure your kids know the chocolates aren’t real!

Step 1. Wrap the DIY Valentine wreath entirely with pink streamer, secure end with floral pin. Create the pleated accent on the front of the wreath by creating a few folds and securing with pin.
Step 3. Paint a few coats of brown paint over the foam balls, making sure to allow plenty of drying time in between. I ran out of durafoam balls and had to substitute with a couple regular foam ones. I love the look of the Durafoam ones so much more! Also, if I was making this wreath again, I would add in some darker “chocolates” to make it look more authentic.
Step 5. Use a foam-safe glue to adhere the half balls to the small candy cups. Mine didn’t fit perfectly so I had to press the paper cups in place. Once all the “chocolates” are assembled and dry, glue them to the wreath form with a bit of hot glue.
Step 6. Print out the “Life Is Sweet” Free Printable Banner and glue in place at the base of the DIY Valentine wreath. You can either hang as is or use a bit of baker’s twine to create a loop to hang from.
I highly suggest hanging this sweet wreath indoors since the crepe paper doesn’t hold up well against weather and definitely hang it high enough away from curious little fingers. My boys couldn’t keep their hands off the “chocolates!”
