Hello, creative friends! Winter is officially here. Noooooooo! Yeah, I am not a fan. It’s just not as exciting once the holidays are coming to an end. But, I do love crafting and making paper snowflakes! And my kids really love the snow, so I decided to help them make some little snow inspired goodies to deliver to neighbors and friends that might be feeling the winter blues. Sometimes winter is the best season to do something nice for someone else, don’t you think? Read on to see how we made these pretty die cut snowflake DIY gift boxes!
Snowflake DIY Gift Boxes Project Supplies:
- Darice Snowflake Craft Dies
- Darice Snowflake Embossing Folder
- Embossing Machine
- Darice Assorted Cardstock (White and Mint Green)
- Acetate Treat Boxes
- Darice Scissors
- Twine or Ribbon
- Adhesive Pop Dots
- Darice Tape Runner
To get started on your snowflake DIY gift boxes, first use your metal snowflake dies and embossing machine to cut three snowflakes for each gift box out of white cardstock.
Next, cut 1.5 x 9 inch paper strips from your mint green cardstock, and emboss them with your snowflake embossing folder.
Fill your goodie boxes with whatever treat you want to put in them, and seal them shut.
Wrap your embossed paper strips around each box, adhering them with your tape runner.
Tie twine or ribbon around each box.
Next, layer your snowflakes on top using your adhesive pop-dots, going from largest snowflake on the bottom to smallest snowflake on the top.
I layered three snowflakes on each box, but you can do just one, or as many as you like!
That’s it! So easy! Way better than hand cutting paper snowflakes, right??
These die cut snowflake DIY boxes are quick and easy to make, which is a bonus if you want to make lots of winter treat deliveries!
