There’s something magical about snow globes, and today I’m sharing a way for you to bring that magic to your Christmas tree! This simple snow globe ornaments DIY tutorial will create beautiful additions to your Christmas tree this year. The sparkly glitter inside looks beautiful with the shine of the tree lights.
Snow Globe Ornaments DIY Tutorial Supplies:
- Darice Round Glass Ornaments.
- Darice 3 inch Sisal Trees.
- Darice Crystal Glitter.
- E-6000 Adhesive.
- Tweezers.
- Scissors.
- Darice Red Satin Ribbon.
Step 1. To begin your snow globe ornaments DIY tutorial, remove the cap from the top of the ornament by squeezing the wires together and lifting up. Cut any stray sisal pieces that may be poking out from the tree with scissors.
Step 2. Add some E-6000 adhesive to the bottom of the base of the tree, and use the tweezers to carefully place the tree in the center of the ornament.
If the tree falls down, just use the tweezers to pick it back up. Press down on the top of the tree with the tweezers for a few seconds to make sure the tree is in place. You’ll pause at this part of the snow globe ornaments DIY tutorial to let the glue dry for about 24 hours with the ornament facing upright.
Step 3. Once the glue is dry, make a cone-shaped funnel out of a piece of paper. Pour some glitter into the ornament through the funnel.
Step 4. Add add a thin amount of glue to the top of the ornament, then place back on the metal top.
Step 5. Add a small piece of red ribbon to the top through the loop to hang the ornament from the tree.
Isn’t it pretty? If you gently the shake ornaments, some of the pieces of glitter will stick to the side and make it look even more like a winter wonderland. I hope you enjoyed this snow globe ornaments DIY tutorial. Make a whole set of these to proudly display on your tree, or make them as special gifts for teachers, co-workers, and friends.
