Create an Elegant New Year’s Eve Tablescape

Happy Holidays, everyone! Today, I want to share with you a beautiful, yet easy New Years tablescape. I will show you how I set everything up and how you can, too. This will be the perfect table to host a New Year’s Eve party and ring in the new year in style!

Just to let everyone know right off, everything on this beautiful New Years tablescape is from the Darice.com! (Besides the champagne glasses and marble serving tray.)

New Years tablescape supplies:

  • Black Darice Plastic Tablecover
  • Darice Gold Glitter Paper Roll
  • Darice LED Candle Set
  • Champagne Charger Plates
  • Darice Silver Patterned Paper Straws
  • Gold Glittered Snowflakes
  • Darice Gold Fringe Backdrop
  • Mini Star Foil Garland
  • Twig Spray
  • Darice Gold Glitter
  • Darice Clear Glue

Let’s take a closer look!

To get started I used a black table cloth, then laid a glittery paper roll on top as my table runner, to go with the gold, silver and black theme. I LOVE using the paper rolls as my table runners, so inexpensive and clever to do.

I love the magic of candle light, so next I put out my flameless candles. Candles are great any time of year, but I feel they are almost mandatory during the holidays. Don’t you agree?

Around the candles I added some extra touches, like the star garland, twig sprays and disco balls to fill in the space a bit more.

To add a touch more sparkle to your table setting, you can grab your wine bottles or champagne bottles. Cover them with glue and sprinkle glitter over them. They are a perfect quick and easy DIY project to add to any holiday table setting.

I also added this DIY wine stopper I made a couple years ago to the table. If your having wine, then this is a must make!

I usually use scrapbook paper as my placemats for parties, but with this table I used the gold plate chargers. I felt like these would be a nice touch to the table.

And of course glassware is a decoration in of itself! I have to have the perfect glass for the right occasion.

Now the final touch! The backdrop. This was such an easy setup, when I first pulled it out of the package, I must admit I was a little intimated. But after taking a moment to look at the directions, it wasn’t so hard. I personally used gold tacks to add the backdrop, instead of using the string. Once I made the decision to use the tacks, I had it up in less then 10 minutes.

This is will a perfect backdrop for any photos taken during the party!

It brings me so much joy to style pretty tables and then to share them with you. I have done many party tables on my blog over the years. But I hope that my New Years tablescape gives you a few new ideas for styling your table for the holiday.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions, and have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
