Easy Snowman Crafts Bookmark Supplies:
- Darice Sticky Sticks Fan Handles
- Darice Kid Craft Scissors
- Washable Tempera Paint
- Darice Craft Foam Sheets {most importantly white and black}
- Paint Brush
- Darice Foamies Glue
- Darice Kid’s Glitter Shakers
- Sequins
Step 1. Keep in mind that there are endless possibilities on how to decorate these easy snowman crafts! Remember that the finished bookmark should be flat as possible so that it will fit in your books! To begin, have children cut a small 3″ round circle out of the white craft foam and a simple hat out of the black. Repeat for each bookmark they want to make. If you are looking for a circle template for the head of the snowman, raid your kitchen for a lid that can be traced!
Step 2. Next grab your craft paint and paint brush. Have children paint on a simple snowman face on the white craft foam pieces they just cut out. We did a triangular orange nose and dotted black eyes & mouth. Kids can of course do whatever they like for this part! Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
Step 3. Now you are ready to assemble your bookmarks. Simply peel off the plastic tab on the adhesive tip of the sticky stick and place your snowman cutout {face up} on top. Now grab your glue and glue your black hat on top of that.
Step 4. To finish off the your craft foam bookmarks, have children glue on some colorful sequin buttons on the handles. They can also add some festive glitter anywhere they see fit {like on the rim of the black hat!}. Then set it all aside to let dry completely before using as a bookmark!
Remember, you can also use these as winter decorations, puppets or gift them away as a nice gesture!
