It’s Natalie from Doodlecraft sharing another fun paper craft. This snowman DIY winter scene is perfect for decor all winter long. It is an especially simple craft to make and fun for kids to help with as well.
- Darice Star Shadow Box
- Circle Paper Punches (1″, 7/8″ and 3/4″)
- White, Red, Green, and Kraft Cardstock
- Darice Mini Top Hat
- Mini Hot Glue Gun/Sticks
- Darice Decorated Sisal Tree
First, begin by punching 5 white circles of each size of punch while the hot glue gun is heating up.
Next, hot glue all 5 circles in one thick stack.
Then hot glue each on top and in front of the next to make a darling snowman. Wrap a piece of red paper around the snowman’s neck and cut the edges as fringe. Then hot glue that adorable top hat right on top of its head.
Once the hat is secure, add a kraft paper nose and stick arms. Let that little snowman chill while cutting some triangles and stems for trees.
Hot glue the kraft paper trunks to the triangle tree tops.
Now to create the snow scene. Place the star shadow box right on top of the cardstock and trace the edge with a pencil. Cut the paper down a little more to fit snugly in the bottom points of the shadow box. Cut 3 pieces with different landscape slope lines.
Place the highest slope paper all the way to the back of the shadow box. Set the next one in the middle and hot glue in place. Repeat in like manner for the front and lowest sloped paper.
Now add the colorful trees amid each level of the wintry white snowscape.
Last, hot glue the snowman right on the star shadow box between the first and second layers of paper.
