I love the story of Frosty the Snowman, where some children’s snowman creation comes to life for a magical day of fun and adventures with the kids. I decided to make a mini DIY snowman hat decoration for Christmas and wanted to share it with you!
- Black Stovepipe Top Hat.
- Red Felt Sheet.
- Holly Leaves with Berries.
- Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue or a Glue Gun.
- Mod Podge Caollage Clay.
- Darice Foam Brush.
- Sea Salt or Epsom Salt.
Step 1. To begin your DIY snowman hat tutorial, use a foam brush to add some Collage Clay to the outer edges of the top and bottom of the hat, doing one section at a time.
After each section, pour some sea salt or Epsom salts over the top of the Collage Clay. Gently press the salt onto the glue, then shake off the excess. Repeat until the edges of the DIY snowman hat are covered. Let dry.
Now your DIY snowman hat is ready to be showcased on a table, the mantle, or even the Christmas tree! You could also add a piece of elastic and wear it as a mini hat. If you’re looking to add more snowman cheerfulness to your decor this season, check out this clay DIY snowman decoration.
