Hello friends, it’s that time of year again…. the Christmas Season! So of course I had to get started on a new kids Christmas craft, a starfish snowman! I LOVE working on coastal Christmas crafts for the house. Last year I made a Starfish Santa, so I HAD to make a matching snowman for this year.
All you need is a couple supplies to have the perfect kids or even adult starfish snowman craft for Christmas!
- Darice Starfish
- Darice Mini Sisal Wreath
- Mini Santa Hat
- Darice Mini Garland Lights
- Darice Mini Snow Shovel
- Darice Paint Brush
- Darice Glue Gun
Let’s gather up our supplies and get started on our starfish snowman!
Step 1. Let’s paint our details in first. I used a wide paint brush to add the boots and a thin brush to add the face and buttons. Acrylic paint works best for a project like this, only one coat of paint is needed.
See how easy that was!! This is already looking like a snowman!
Step 2. Next let’s add our fun details. Make sure to pull out your “hand dandy” glue gun for this step. If you have younger kids working on this craft make sure they are supervised with the glue gun!
I used some sequin ribbon for an extra sparkle for his scarf. You gotta have as much sparkle as you can during Christmas time, right?!?
Finally you can add all your fun props, like the snow shovel, lights and wreath!
I have a coastal Christmas tree, so I will just set him on a branch without any ribbon. I’ve never had any problems with the starfish falling off.
As always I hope you enjoyed this fun kids craft! If you have any questions just let me know!
