‘Tis the season for hostess gifts. I am a big fan of giving (and receiving) a bottle of wine whenever a dinner is being had. While there are many ways to wrap up a bottle of wine, I have fallen in love with easy DIY wine charms. Presented together around a bottle of wine, these charms become a “wine necklace”!
These DIY wine charms are very easily personalized to the recipient of the gift. With the right supplies you can put them together in no time.
DIY Wine Charm Supplies:
The wine charm base set from Darice comes with all of the circlets of wire needed to make a set of four wine charms.
I chose charm bracelets based on the recipients I had in mind. One set was for Christmas, and the other was a more feminine flower theme.
Each wine charm set has four small hoops to encircle the wine stems and one larger hoop that will hold all of the charms.
Using a set of flat-nosed pliers, I bent a 90 degree turn on the end of the hoop that didn’t have an eye. The bent end would slip into the eye and close the circle.
Once the hoops were created and closed, I then removed the charms from the bracelet and chose my favorites.
I slipped the charms onto the hoops and closed them.
These DIY wine charms are now ready to hang from the larger hoop, forming what i like to call a “wine necklace”. You’re now ready to gussy up a bottle of wine and gift to your next party host or hostess!
These DIY wine charms are a great way to keep each wine glass personalized. They help to avoid mix-ups at gatherings, as well as a way to wash less dishes at the end of the night! Guests won’t have to keep grabbing new glasses when they forget which was theirs.
Find the perfect charms for your host or hostess, and add a little something special to their gift!
