One of our favorite holiday traditions is to leave a plate of cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. I know this is not a new tradition and it is not unique to our family, but it is one my children definitely love and would be devastated if we didn’t do every year! My kids are both tenderhearted and love to serve and give and leaving cookies for Santa is almost more than a tradition, it’s a requirement. It’s a show of kindness and thoughtfulness from my children to the man in the red suit and I think their little world would crumble if for some reason we didn’t have cookies or we somehow forgot. We have a plate that we usually leave out for Santa with cookies on it, but this year I wanted to give my children the opportunity to make their own fun plate for the Santa cookies. I wanted them to be able to have a part in the creation of the plate. You won’t believe how incredibly easy it is was to create DIY Christmas plates for Santa’s cookies!
To make this project a little more fun for them, they colored the enclosed coloring sheet, but also flipped the sheet over and colored their own design on the back!
I love this because your children can easily create their own, customized, DIY Christmas plates! It is so fun and easy and their imagination is the only limit! They can use the enclosed coloring pages or create their own design, it’s completely up to them! The design could also be changed out every year to create a new look as your children grow.
