Holiday traditions have shifted over the past few decades but holiday cards from loved ones are still very special items to prize and display. Today’s project, a DIY Christmas card holder, is crafted from a wooden Christmas tree pallet. What a simple and cute way to display your cards during the holiday season!
When displayed on a decorated wooden tree pallet, Christmas cards become cheerful holiday art!
DIY Christmas Card Holder Pallet Supplies:
- Pallet Christmas Tree Base
- Darice Red and White Baker’s Twine
- Darice Multicolor Mini Spring Clothespins
- Turquoise Chalk Paint
- Darice Paint Brush
- Darice Hammer and Nails
Allow paint to dry. Add a second coat of paint, or touch up, if necessary.
Step 2. Once the piece has completely dried, hammer small nails into the top corners of the second, fourth, and sixth boards on the Christmas tree.
Step 5. Hammer two nails on the back of the tree to allow for hanging and display. Tie a double piece of baker’s twine between the two nails on the back. You can also attach a picture hanger to the back of your tree.
Another eye catching way to display Christmas cards is with a DIY memory board frame. Paint your frame in holiday colors and accent with festive ribbon!
