Even though I try my best every year, I inevitably forget to buy a gift for someone special! Whether it’s a co-worker, friend, or one of my kids’ instructors, I really am appreciative of their impact in our lives. A little gift to celebrate the holidays or end of the year is always appropriate for these special people. Every year I try to make some gifts to have on hand for those gift-giving emergencies but it’s difficult to make something that would appeal to a wide variety of acquaintances, cultures, and styles. I think I found the perfect one this year! I’m going to love gifting this DIY air plant ornament as a last minute gifts! It can double as a festive ornament for any tree or as chic modern decor. Who wouldn’t love to get a pretty air plant to hang in their home or office?!
Step 1. This DIY air plant tutorial is so easy, I almost feel like it doesn’t need explanation! Just in case anyone needs it, take the small air plant and gently maneuver it inside of the copper ornament. It’s probably best to push down in the same direction of the plant leaves instead of pushing up and against.
Step 2. Print and cut out the two air plant ornament labels. I’ve included a gift tag and instructions for caring for the air plant.
These super cute DIY air plant ornaments are going to be the perfect little last minute gifts this year! The gorgeous copper frame mixed with the natural elements of the leather and plant will compliment anyone’s space. And since there’s also care instructions included with the card, you can be sure the plant will survive at least into the new year!
Another way to decorate with these fascinating little plants is to create your own air plant homemade terrarium using a decorative lantern.
