Today I’m sharing a coastal Christmas DIY sign tutorial! This sign idea has been on my to-do list for years and I’m so excited to finally make it. I love decorating the house with a coastal feel for Christmas. Last year I made these Coastal Christmas trees for the blog. I love sharing coastal crafts with you guys and letting you see you can add a coastal touch to all your holidays.
So let’s get started and I’ll show you how to make a coastal Christmas DIY sign with textured paint!
- Darice DIY Wood Pallet Sign
- Darice Starfish
- Palette Knife
- Darice Glitter Paint
- Texture Paint
- Cutting Machine
- Chalk Paint
- Transfer Paper
- Weeding Tool
- Darice Hot Glue Gun
Once you have weeded your stencil it’s time to add the transfer paper. This will help transfer your stencil to the wood perfectly.
Step 5. When you think you have covered the stencil completely, gently remove it and you should end up with the most gorgeous textured pattern. I didn’t get a picture of this step, because you gotta move fast!
Step 6. Finally let’s add our tree topper! The starfish! I added a little glitter paint to the starfish for a nice sparkle. Then I used some hot glue to add my starfish to the top of my Christmas DIY sign.
Ok, I know I’m partial to this project but I LOVE IT!! With just a couple supplies I had this coastal Christmas DIY sign made in no time! It will fit in perfectly with my Coastal Christmas decor. I try to make a new project every year.
This coastal Christmas DIY sign will look great on the mantle during the holidays. You could even add some command strips to the back and hang on the wall.
As always, thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this coastal Christmas craft. If coastal’s not your thing then you can make any kind of Christmas sign with these supplies. Here’s another textured sign I made for Fall.
Make sure to stop by and see another DIY Christmas Sign I made last year using the same pallet sign. These pallets are perfect for DIY signs.
