Dress up a burlap drawstring bag with some vintage-inspired lace trim and a pretty ribbon. This simple lace and burlap DIY pouch makes a great “vase” for a nosegay of holiday flowers or greenery, such as holly or poinsettia. Or, use this pretty burlap project for year-round decor.
Lace and Burlap DIY Pouch Vase Project Supplies:
- Burlap Drawstring Bag.
- Assortment of Lace Ribbon and Trim.
- Darice Ribbon of Your Choice.
- Darice Hot Glue Gun and Darice Glue Sticks.
- Darice Scissors.
Step 1. To begin this burlap DIY pouch tutorial, hot glue a strip of lace to the top of the burlap bag.
Step 2. Repeat with more strips of lace. Hot glue them to the burlap bag however you like and then allow the glue to cool completely.
Step 3. Next you will create a bow from a piece of ribbon. Make two loops and hold them, one in each hand. Cross the left loop over the right loop, then wrap the right loop over and through. Pull tight.
Tighten and adjust the ribbon so the loops are even. Then trim the bow tails so they match.

Fill the burlap DIY pouch with your favorite holiday greenery, or a small flower bouquet. These make great hostess gifts!
