I know that summer isn’t even technically here yet but already I’m worried about how I’m possibly going to entertain my kids all day long. These are the moments when I find myself in total awe of teachers! One of the best ways I’ve found to keep boredom at bay during the vacation months is a summer bucket list DIY Jar. Filled with fun activities like “Make Popsicles” or “Draw a Comic,” the summer bucket list jar is the perfect way to help kids come up with fun activities to fill their day. Plus, it cuts back on screen time which I love!
- Darice Mason Jar Wall Decoration
- Darice Glitter Tropical Foam Stickers
- White Paint
- Darice Glitter Ribbon
- Black Vinyl (optional)
- Cutting Machine (optional)
Step 2. Use a screwdriver to remove the mason jar from the wood backing. Use transfer paper to place the words on the center of the jar. Press to apply, remove transfer paper, and place jar to the side until later.
Step 5. Once all the stickers are placed nicely, you can begin removing the backing and sticking one at a time. Don’t worry if some of the stickers extend past the wood. We’ll work on that in the next step!
Step 9. With your summer bucket list DIY jar done, all that’s left to do is cut small strips of paper and write out different summer activities. Search “summer bucket list” on the internet if you need help coming up with ideas.
Younger kids might prefer this fun summer boredom busters pom pom critters project.
