I don’t know about you guys but for some reason Father’s Day always sneaks up on me! Maybe it’s because the kids are home from school and I’m shuttling them around to different camps and lessons. Or maybe it’s because I find it extremely difficult to shop for the men in my life. Either way, I’m totally in love with this popcorn DIY Father’s Day gift. Super easy to put together and I know the guys are going to love it!
So, as I mentioned above, I’m the worst at remembering Father’s Day so having a gift that I can quickly pull together is absolutely essential. I like to order a few of these Popcorn Tubs from Darice to have for emergency gift giving. You can fill with gourmet popcorn (homemade or store-bought) and give as is or pair with a movie theater gift card for an extra special gift. They are lifesavers, I tell you!
Popcorn DIY Father’s Day Gift Supplies:
- Darice Popcorn Tub
- Darice Hole Punch
- Darice Black and White Baker’s Twine
- Darice Clear Cellophane Bags
- “Best Pop” Free Printable Label (pdf version)
- “Best Pop” Free Printable Label (jpeg version)
Step One. This project is so easy you almost don’t even need steps but here goes! First things first, you’ll need to print out the “Best Pop” Free Printable Label. Use the blue guide lines to cut out your label (3.5″ x 2.5″).
Step Two. Fill cellophane bag with popcorn and secure shut with a piece of baker’s twine. I used some organic, store-bought popcorn but another fun idea would be to include the kids in making your own! Punch a small hole in the corner of the “Best Pop” Free Printable Label and tie in place with the baker’s twine.
And that’s it, your popcorn DIY Father’s Day gift is ready to give! Doesn’t get easier than this, right?
You can always pair this with a gift card to a movie theater or rental place if you want to make the gift extra special. Either way, he’s sure to appreciate and enjoy this DIY Father’s Day gift!
