My kids love celebrating all of the fun patriotic holidays during the summer! They love the fireworks, the chance to wear red, white and blue and wave an American flag. Also we love crafting in red white and blue too! So today I wanted to share a fun way to craft a little something for the 4th of July! These Star Wands are perfect to wave at a parade and I am sure your kids will love them too! And they only take a few minutes and a few items to create. Keep reading to learn more about making this fun patriotic craft.
These star wands come together pretty quickly and are a great patriotic craft project to let your kids help with too. Making these star wands is just as fun as using them! Just be sure to watch little ones with the hot glue gun of course.

- Darice Wood Dowel Rods
- Darice Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Darice Foam Brush
- Red, White and Blue Craft Paint
You can leave these star wands as they are, or if you like you can add ribbons to them. I left them as they were but put them in a cute jar with a ribbon. They make a cute patriotic craft centerpiece that way!
I know my kiddos will love being able to wave these at the next 4th of July parade or patriotic event we attend. And with a whole summer ahead of us, I think we will have fun with these all summer long!
You can of course paint these stars in any color you prefer, but I love having them in red, white and blue! They feel so patriotic and festive and my kids love them!
