Handprint Leprechaun Puppet Supplies:
- Darice Wavy Sticky Sticks
- Small Brown Pom Poms
- Darice Foam Shamrock Stickers
- Marker
- Darice Kids Craft Scissors
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- Darice Felties Felt Glue
- Darice Felt Sheets – {You will use the green, tan, orange and yellow}
Step 1. To begin your handprint leprechaun craft, go ahead and trace your child’s hand on the orange craft felt. Cut out with scissors. This will be the beard. Repeat for each Leprechaun puppet you want to make.
Step 2. Now you are ready for the embellishments!!! Grab the tan felt and cut out a small circle that will be placed in the palm of the handprint and will be the Leprechaun’s face. At this point in time, you should also cut out a simple hat from the green and yellow felt.
Step 3. Time to assemble your puppets! Grab your craft stick {one per craft.} Simply peel off the plastic tab on the adhesive tip of your craft stick and place your orange handprint leprechaun on top.
Step 4. Now grab your Felties glue and start assembling your felt pieces onto the handprint. You will want to put the tan circle down first, followed by the hat and finishing off with the wiggle eyes & pom pom nose.
Step 5. Finish off your puppets off by adding some shamrock stickers to the felt hat to really give it that “lucky” look! Then set aside to let it dry completely before playing with proudly!!!
