I was inspired by these paper mache decorative eggs in the Pottery Barn catalog. They are simple and elegant and I knew I could make my own version at home.
Step 2: Color in the stencil with the paint pen and allow to dry. Then color in again and remove your stencil. Use a cotton swab, finger nail, or toothpick to remove any paint that has seeped under the stencil.
You can make these Pottery Barn inspired decorative eggs in a rainbow of colors or just one. Vary up the stencils to your mood as well. Just have fun with this quick and easy craft. My 5 minute painted eggs might be based on Pottery Barn, but they are simple enough to be a kids craft!
