Handprint Butterfly Kid’s Craft Supplies:
- Darice Flat Clothespins
- Washable Tempera Paint
- Darice Paint Brush Set
- Darice Kid Craft Scissors
- Darice Felties Felt Glue
- Darice Felties Felt Sheets (We used pink, yellow and black)
- Darice Gem Finishing Accents
- Darice Glitter Glue Pens

Step 1. First have children paint one side of their clothespins {one per butterfly} however they like. Add black eyes with a fine tip brush. Set aside to let them dry completely.
Step 2. Next grab your craft felt and a marker. Carefully trace around your child’s hands on the craft felt, Repeat so you have two handprints per butterfly.
Step 3. Now cut the handprints out, as well as some antennas {two per butterfly}.
Step 4. Once the handprints are cut out, go ahead and glue those along with the antenna cutouts, to the back of your painted clothespins.
Step 5. To finish off the handprint butterfly craft- have children decorate the wings and the body however they like. We used glitter glue and rhinestones to decorate ours. Then once you are done decorating, set it all aside to let it dry completely before playing and/or displaying proudly!!!
So what are you waiting for? Grab those craft supplies and get to work on helping your child make some one-of-a-kind handprint butterfly pieces to show off this spring season!
