The following bunny treat buckets were originally created by Amy Cowley for the Core’dinations Core blog.
You will be the hoppiest crafter this Easter when you make these adorable bunny treat buckets! They are perfect for spring party favors, gifts for teachers, or just as another fun addition to your kids’ Easter baskets!
Bunny Treat Bucket Supplies:
- Core’dinations Pink Plaid Paper
- Core’dinations Smooth White Cardstock
- Mini Plastic Bucket
- White Candies
- Brown Ink Pad
- White & Black Buttons
- Darice Baker’s Twine
- Darice Scissors
- Darice Circle Punch
- Electronic Die Cutting Machine
Step 1. Fill your little bucket with your candy of choice. You can use whatever candy you like. I chose a white candy to help my treat jars mimic the look of a bunny.
Step 2. Cut out your bunny ears using an electronic die cutting machine. I used a tall skinny oval shape, and made the white ones slightly larger than the pink ones. You can also free hand cut the ears or create a template to use if you do not have an electronic cutting machine. Once cut out, ink all the edges.
Step 3. Adhere the pink ovals to the white ovals. Fold one ear down. I used a glue dot to keep the fold down.
Step 4. Hand cut the nose piece and punch a circle for the top of your can. Ink the edges of these with the brown ink pad as well.
Step 5. Use glue dots to layer your buttons for the eyes.
Step 6. Adhere the button eyes and nose to the front of your can, and the bunny ears to the back of the can.
Step 7. Tie a baker’s twine bow on the front.
Your bunny treat buckets are now ready to go!
