Easter is nearly upon us and it’s time for last minute preparations. This precious Easter flower pot pom pom craft would be perfect as table decorations or to give out as Easter gifts at your celebration. This easy craft can be tailored to fit a number of occasions from birthday parties to baby and bridal showers!
- Darice Sticky Sticks.
- Darice 1 Inch Colored Pom-Poms
- Darice 3/4 Inch White Pom Poms.
- 2 Inch Clay Pots: (These Mini Paper Mache Pots or Glass Candle Holders would work as well).
- Patio Paint in Turquoise, Pink, Yellow and Green.
- Darice Paint Brush.
- Core’dinations Green Cardstock: (Cut into ¾” strips and use scraps for leaves).
- Happy Easter Stamp and Ink Pad.
- Darice Jute Cord.
- Darice Glue Gun (Optional) and Adhesives.
- Darice Scissors.
- Foil Wrapped Chocolate Eggs.
- Darice Easter Chicks.
For each pot: Apply a dab of glue under the rim of one pot. Wrap the jute string about ½” down from where you started. Secure with another dab of glue.
Step 2. To create your pom pom craft flowers, cut a piece of green paper strip to fit on the back side of one Sticky Stick. Adhere. Cut a piece for the front, leaving off at the bottom of the release paper. Adhere to the stick.
Step 3. Rubber stamp the saying or sentiment onto the front of the stick (flower stem).
Step 4. Remove the release paper from the Sticky Stick; lay the pom-poms around the adhesive area; leaving room in the center for the white pom-pom. The adhesive is strong and should hold each pom-pom by connecting with the edge.
Step 5. Place the white pom-pom in the center of the flower.
Step 6. Cut leaves from the green cardstock scraps and adhere to the back of the stick below the pom-pom flower.
Step 7. Cut a 10” piece of jute string and tie around the top of the stick below the leaves.
Step 8. Make a shoestring bow and trim the tails. Fray the tails by pulling apart the ply of the jute string.
Step 9. Stand one flower up in a contrasting pot. Pour the chocolate eggs around the base of the flower to make it stand up. Finish with a little fuzzy chick.
This idea can be changed up for use at Birthday parties or for a Spring tea party. Change the colors for an entirely different look! Have FUN! These carrot Easter treats would also look sweet scattered across your Easter table or decorating each place setting.
